ACL lineup

To prefice this blog, I'm probably not going to ACL even though I'd love to. I've heard from abunch of people that the lineup for this year is crazy good with eminem and lorde andskrillex and a bunch of other artists. I mean I'd probably see everything I possibly could because Ive never been to see live music in that type of setting. To me the lineup looks pretty good and I'd probably see eminem and zedd and I really liked the song that you showed us of Spoon. Actually going to listen to more of them, they sounded really together as a band and that clip was probably at least 3 years old, so they're probably even better now. Seems like it's gonna be a pretty good ACL this year.

Ice JJ fish

So you've probably seen a bunch of blogs about this but Ice JJ fish is that terrible singer that everyone knows for how bad he is. He's exactly like that Asian guy from American Idol in 2004 who sang that "she bangs, she bangs" song.  Oh man that shit was hysterical. I mean there's even shirts for Ice JJ fish! The guy has probably made thousands of dollars off just singing horribly! Maybe I should think of a career in music. I mean when you think about people like you, Mr. A who put in so much work into making music great, it just makes me sad that other people can do it so poorly and make so much money.

How I feel about songs in albums that are just noise

So there was this one song in the Nirvana album that for about 5 minutes was just screeching and guitar and I really felt that it took away from how good that album actually is. I think it's funny that the album is considered so great, even with that song. Nirvana is a really good band and I get that sometimes they just want to jack around and do funny things but it was just stupid. I hated that song and I don't know why they'd put that into any album.

What I listen to

Whenever I'm at home I always find it funny how I change from genre to genre. There's literally no correlation. I just listen to whatever I feel like hearing and that definitely changes constantly. I'll go from HipHop to stuff like chillstep and then to rock and then to stuff like the Beatles. It should probably be really weird for someone to switch from one of those genres to another, but for me it's just kind of normal because I've been doing it ever since I've had a computer.

Biggie And Tupac

I think that Biggie and Tupac are both really good hip hop artists. I enjoyed the documentary for the most part except for the white British guy who explained everything, I thought that the white British accent really took away from the documentary because Biggie and Tupac are supposed to be really kind of cool and that accent was definitely the antithesis of cool. They both have really cool voices and from what I've seen of their live performances and albums, they're pretty good.

Gary Busey

I saw a commercial earlier today that I'm pretty positive you'll enjoy. It has Gary Busey!!!!! Now I know that you probably don't even know anything about him with your lack of T.V. and all, but I don't even think it matters because it's hilarious. Best commercial I've seen in my entire life. Here it is

Fleetwood Mac

I really enjoy Fleetwood Mac because their music is really happy and energetic. They have a really nice and interesting combination of sounds and voices which make for a really good group. The album also has some really nice guitar solos like in the end of their first song, Secondhand news. I feel like the album is a mixture of different genres and it's really good. Here's the album

Simon and Garfunkel

Simon and Garfunkel are pretty awesome. I remember my mom used to listen to them when I was younger but I never really knew who they actually were. But their album Bridge Over Troubled Water is really calming and I definitely enjoyed it. I feel like this was played in every Prom from 1971-1980 because it's good slow dance music. Overall, they have really nice voices and a really good album altogether.

I should have tried harder in school

I think it never really kicks in how much harder you could have worked until it's too late. I mean I just took the SAT for the first time last month and it's crazy how much more I could have prepared for it. I mean I worked my ass off freshman and sophomore year but this year I feel like I couldn't care less. Yeah, junior year, the most important year is the year I stop caring. Super smart. I'm probably going to have to actually focus senior year (which is going to be even harder)  to get into a decent college. Shit. Highschool sucks

Nirvana

Nirvana was really awesome to listen to. I've heard it before but I just never really knew it was Nirvana. I liked it a lot and it was super nostalgic because I used to hear it on the radio. I saw an interview of the baby on the cover of Nevermind and the kid was like 17 and it was just a story of how he found out and I thought it was really interesting how that was an actual kid. I mean, of course I knew it was an actual person but imagine if that was you and how jaw dropping that experience of finding it out would've been. Anyway, Nirvana is awesome and we should listen to another album.

St Vincent

I saw St Vincent on the Colbert Report a couple weeks back and the first time I heard it all I could think of was how much I was going to hate the music of the future. I mean what is going to happen when I'm 30? Is the music just going to be beeps and boops or what. Part of me really wants to find out but part of me wants no part of it...I mean I guess you probably had some of the same fears growing up but I've never really thought about it. I guess the music of my generation must sound incredibly weird to you huh. Maybe I'll like the shitty music of the future, or maybe it'll be good, who knows.

Hair Metal

So you showed us Hair Metal a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd hate as much as you seem to but I actually don't mind the music at all, in fact I kind of enjoy it. Their outfits and the way the music videos are made seems a little weird but of course you of all people should know that what it looks like shouldn't matter, only what it sounds like. Although the music video for "We're not gonna take it" was pretty damn amazing, I do agree with you on the fact that their hair looks ridiculous and they resemble angry women.

Tame Impala

This week a friend showed me a group called Tame Impala and I'd heard them before and they REALLY reminded me of the Beatles and I think you'd really like them. They seriously sound like a toned down version of the Beatles to me. Sorry this is a short blog but I don't know what else to really say.
